Grant is so much fun!  We had a little bit of family time down at Woods at Boulevard the other night!  He spends most of his time in the carseat/Bob combo while we enjoy our coffee!  We get a laugh everytime he grabs at the hangy-bird thing!  He’s getting to be soooo good in front of the camera, too!  Enjoy!

Grant is amazing!! He was born March 25th, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Hospital here in Bellingham.  Here are some of the vital statistics -

Grant weighed in at 7 lbs 4 oz and was 21 inches.  He was born at 12:13 and his Apgar was 9.

When he was born he laid on Megs chest and just took in the whole new world he entered, it was awesome.

Meg did frickin awesome with labor and delivery and Grant was amazing as well, Aaron made it through:).

Both Grandma’s were there to take it all in and support Meg and I during the process.

Meg and I feel so blessed to welcome Grant Anthony into the world are excitedly/nervously/crazily waiting to see what Grant has in store for us.

We’re in the homestretch!  I’m officially 37 weeks and the Dr. said that I’m already 2cm dialated!  Crazy!!  I feel like I’ve been pregnant for FOREVER – and now all of a sudden our little man is going to be here!  It’s hard to wrap my brain around!  I’m excited to meet this little guy!  I pray that he is healthy and is nice to me during delivery!!  Actually – I guess I hope my body is nice to me – it’s not the kids fault!

Well – I guess I’ll keep you all updated!!

Cheers, Megs

Happy New Year!

We rung in the new year with our good friends Rob and Bre Ann!  We went to a restaurant where you actually need a reservation!  I can’t think of the last place we went to that needed a reservation!

Good food – good friends – what a way to go!  Oh – and I almost made it to midnight.  My normal bedtime has been about 9pm – so staying up until 11 was  a great accomplishment!

The hostess that took the picture was obviously being nice and cut out my tummy – but I’m definitely pregnant looking!

Hope everyone had a Happy New Year!!

Aaron and I had our 20 week ultrasound this past Friday – and it was such a fun appointment!  We saw some friends in the waiting room *no names – but these two people are AWESOME!!!*, met a new dr., and found out that our baby is a boy!  It’s still sinking in that we are going to have a son…a son!  Sounds crazy to say!

I’m so thankful that he is growing, healthly boy!  It is so much more evident that he is moving around a lot, too!  Before – it was still a mystery of it is was just a stomach ache or sore muscles, or maybe the kid moving around – but now it’s obvious that I can feel my son :-) moving around!  I think it’ll be a few more weeks until other people can feel him moving around.

Here are some of his 20 week ultrasound images!  I love his profile pics!

And here is at the Dr.’s office right after we found out!!!  Aaron showed up to the appt. w/ a brown bag w/ an Almond Joy, Mounds, and a Baby Ruth!  Not sure why the Baby Ruth – maybe just b/c I like them!

Ok – not that I’m making any promises – but I will try to blog more, now!

Yep – we’re going to have a baby!  We are due around the beginning of April – which my birthday is April 8th – and I’m not sure I like the idea of sharing a birthday!  I’m sure I’ll get over it! :-)

That’s right – we just got our stimulus check! We’re oldschool and sent in our taxes vs. doing it online – which actually worked out to our benefit!

Last Friday, we bought bikes! The best part is they are twinsies!!! I love that, but Aaron is a little embarassed by it. Oh well! We took them out for a spin down to Boulevard Park to get coffee and then cruised to Fairhaven to get gelato! On our way home, we ran into our good friends Chris and Julie down by the Chrysalis! Sweet! Julie took a picture or Aaron, Chris, and I with our new sweet bikes!

Then we kicked Chris out and Julie told us to kiss! No objections here!

I love the new bikes! Aaron and I have been riding almost every day! Did I mention that they are lime green?

Summer time!

We are so excited that it is finally summer!  Woohoo!

I’m going to try to post more pictures of our adventures in photography as well as my year long table project!  Sorry it has been so long!

Ugh, so this past week Aaron and I have both been sick, with different things. Last Saturday I just thought that my nasty allergies were getting to me, but by Saturday night, it was definitely more than allergies. I was achy, sore, my nose was stuffed up, my eyes were watering, and, well, lots more. I slept most of Sunday. I called in sick on monday, and slept from 9-5, solid. I drove to work on tuesday and went to medical, only to be sent home. The stand in PA told me that it was probably a sinus infection, and to wait it out. Great. So, being stubborn, I drove to work again on Wednesday and tried to help out. But my coworkers told me to go home, that they were fine without me, and to get better. They are great, and I appreciate them! So, it’s wednesday, and as soon as I got back home I went back to bed for 8 more hours. At this point I am still not feeling any better, and it has been 5 days, oh, and at this point I have lost 10 pounds. I have never been this sick in my life, and always pride myself on having a strong immune system – but not this time. My good friend and conveniently located neighbor Heather offers me her crazy nose-drain teapot thing, and I thought, I’ll give anything a shot at this point. And I swear, that thing was the turning point. I still felt kind of crappy going to bed, but now my nose was a little bit clearer. Aaron ’strongly encouraged’ me to not even try going in on Thursday, so I took his advice. I slept in on Thursday and kind of felt a little bit better. So I took the day to recover and will be headed to work tomorrow. But here are some funny things that Aaron and I learned about each other this week:

1. I can be a mad mucous making machine

2. Pounding through 3 boxes of Kleenex in 4 days is doable

3. That Aaron does a great song/dance that makes you feel better for 2 seconds

4. When one of you makes the other laugh, you both end in a whooping cough war (it just happened!)

5. Watching Dan in Real Life three times in two days is a great idea

6. Hiring someone to paint your backroom is the best idea in the world when you’re sick (More on that coming soon!!)

7. As for this whole ‘in sickness and in health’ thing – Aaron is the most amazing husband to have!! Thanks, Aaron, I love you!!

Now it’s my turn to take care of sicky Aaron. Poor guy! He’s definitely functional as a human, but not healthy! We would love your prayers for a healthy Nelson household! Thanks! :-)

Root for his team as they are in state right now!! Next game – Saturday!
